I enjoy good sound and audio, and one of the best ways to get it is with microphones. I love them! So, this album will be a collection of sketches and improvisations made with the same exact source but with different mics.

Each track will list the type of microphone, the instrument, how far the mic(s) are away from source, how far apart the mics are if stereo, and angle of the mic to the source.

For example:

Avenson Audio STO-2 - Piano Low, 1' Source, 36" Apart, 45 Degrees

Mic(s): Avenson Audio STO-2
Instrument: Upright piano without the covering of the lower part of the instrument. It's the strings closest to the pedals.
1' Source: The mics were places exactly one inch from the source
36" Apart: The mics were placed exactly 36 inches apart.
45 Degrees: The angle of the mic in this example was 45 degrees.

All microphone tests were done via Mogami gold cabling, the Audient iD44 interface, and was recorded 48/24. No processing was done to preserve the details of the microphones themselves (ie, no compression or EQ).

Since these are just tests, there's no real reason to charge a whole lot for them, but I would certaintly appreciate being able to buy a coffee so please consider it.
